I've finally done it! All the new fall items are buyable! Actually
every single hat can now be purchased off our website. I can't
believe I am getting caught up on web work. Hurray for me. I
guess that is what happens when the whole family gets sick and I
need something quite to do.

Well, on that happy note we are in the process of creating and
photographing our new winter line. We will have new fur tails,
new kitty cat hats, new panda style hats, new fox style hats, new
bunny rabbit hats, new kitty cat collars and more anime baby.
Hopefully we will get everything on line this month, but knowing
how busy the holidays usually are I might be fooling myself with
that goal. If we don't get them done come visit us at Anime LA
and you can see them all first hand!

Wow we are tired! This has been one extremely busy month!
Thanks to everyone for all your support during our move. We are
finally all settled in and pretty much know where everything is.
We are actually going to take Halloween off and go trick or
treating with our little one. She is very excited to turn on and off
all the light up pumpkins, ghosts and spooky villages that we
have around the house. I am working on the web again, so more
things will be popping up soon.

Great news, frosted red fur is back in stock, however limited
quantities are available and once it is gone it is gone forever.
Slightly disappointing news, grey fur is temporarily out of stock.
Slightly better news, some of the aviator hats with ties are now
buyable, hopefully I can get them all done this week now that we
have slowed down a bit. Excellent news, we finally have pre-made
stock for most of our classic cat hat beanies, fox hat beanies and
panda hat beanies! This means no construction wait time for
these items, you only need to wait on the post office.

9-22-07

We are currently moving studio spaces! We have long ago
outgrown our current 100 square foot studio space and we are
finally moving. We will be moving into a glorious 300 square foot
studio space this week. We apologize for not getting all the new
items up and running during the past 2 weeks, but we ended up
needing to pack. *sigh* I really need to duplicate myself or
suspend time, but I haven't figured out how to do either of those
things.

The good news is that with a larger studio space we will be able to
keep more pre-made items in stock. What does that mean for
you? Shorter construction time, a faster shipping schedule and
more new products for you to love.

9-10-07

Sorry we haven't updated our website in a while, we've been
swamped with orders and conventions. We are doing our best to
get all our new merchandise on line. Thanks to everyone who
visited us at Otakon and Anime Vegas. We have had the best time
this year traveling and meeting all our fans. We did another
interview for cartoon mogul, so hopefully you can all see it soon
at www.cartoonmogul.com. We also did an interview for Anime
TV, so keep your eye out for that one at www.AnimeTV.com.

We are sorry to say that many of our ribbon collar styles are still
backordered. We know that many of you have been waiting since
Anime Expo to buy them and we would like to sell them to you.
Hopefully they will be in stock in the next 2 weeks.

On a personal note, I have sectioned off time this week to get the
website up to date. I will be uploading thumbnails first and then
adding the detail pages with the add to cart buttons. Don't get too
discouraged if you can't buy that cool new hat that is on the index
page, it will be buyable at the end of the week.

Thanks again to AnimeReno for all your help at Anime Vegas!!!
We couldn't have done it without you!

7-11-07

We would like to thank all those of you who visited us at Anime
Expo. We had a blast! We couldn't have done it without help
from our sister store
AnimeReno and my mom. Thanks again
Amantha and Toshiko, you guys helped make this convention a
great success.

We are doing our best to balance the website updates with the
flood of orders we received after Anime Expo along with the ton
of work we need to get done before Otakon. We were wiped clean
of many of our standard items not to mention totally sold out of
our entire new summer line. We know that many of you are
looking for the cute headband and collar sets that we had at
Anime Expo, along with the large bells that we quickly sold out of
on Saturday. We want you to know that the black ribbon for the
collars has been re-ordered and is expected to arrive by July 23rd
and the silver 65mm bells and the silver 80mm bells too have
been re-ordered and the are expected to arrive by July 17th. We
also ordered some gold 65mm bells and some red 65mm bells
after the many requests we had for different colors, we were
unable to get 80mm bells in another color at this time. We will
be posting all these items for sale after Otakon...sorry to make
you all wait.

We would like to announce that we will be attending Otakon on
July 20 - 22 at the Baltimore Convention center. We will be flying
to this event so we might have to leave some things at home,
sorry about that. We can tell you that we will be offering great
convention deals with our hats starting at $20! That's $5 less
then our website prices and you don't have to pay for shipping!
Come by and visit us at booth 914!

6-3-07

We need to congratulate Lexie for winning our first envelope art
contest. Thanks for working so hard on your envelope art and
getting so many people to vote for you! Due to popular demand
we have started a second envelope art contest. Everyone that
submitted art for the first contest is still entered, but all their
votes have been zeroed out. This new contest will run until
August 31, 2007.

Okay, we are moving a bunch of stuff around to make navigation
easier. We have deleted our news page and we will be posting any
new news in our blogs. Hopefully this will make it easier for me
to maintain and easier for you all to get the information you
want. We will also be reworking our events, gallery and links
pages so bare with us.

We are also sad to say that we are running low on some of our
furs. We wanted to give you all fair warning before you suddenly
find aviator hats in the retired items section.

6-1-07

We are back from Fanime and we will be doing a bunch of web
work over the next few weeks. I know, we promise web work and
new photos and then nothing because we get swamped. This time
I really mean it, I have even scheduled time for the web.

I am doing my best to get all the Fanime photos uploaded to
myspace, but if you have ever tried to upload a bunch of photos
to myspace you will know that it is fickle. I can only do small
chunks before it craps out on me. :( While we did take hundreds
of photos this time, many were out of focus due to our slightly
crappy camera and the crazy lighting in the convention hall. We
are uploading all photos in focus (or slightly in focus) so if you
don't see yourself it is because you were too blurry or I have not
had the chance to upload you yet.

5-14-07

We would like to apologize to all our international customers for
the drastic postage price increase that our government initiated
today. While it used to cost $10.50 to ship worldwide it now costs
up to $26, depending on your location, to ship 1 pound or less.
We feel terribly sorry about needing to increase our shipping
prices and as a result we will do our best to lower our website
prices even more.

5-4-07

We were having difficulties uploading a large amount of photos
to our website so we decided to start using our myspace page. We
have just been introduced to the total lack of privacy that is
myspace. We loaded all our cool Sakura-con photos there and we
will be loading all subsequent convention photos to our myspace
account. We hope this makes it easier to navigate and to view.
Feel free to check out our myspace page
here.

Another day, another web page. I sit here really tired with a pink
fox hat on my head and my brain swimming. I am determined to
get this website up to date. I can't believe how far behind I am
and how many items aren't even on-line. I realized over the past
week that I am a full season behind. Not only do I have no photos
of our full Spring line because we sold it all at Sakura-con, I am
missing pages for almost all the Winter 2006 items too. *sigh* I
guess I can only get it done as fast as the little one will allow.
Poor angel has been sick all week.

4-13-07

Okay, now I remember why I fall behind on the web. I mean how
long can it possibly take to duplicate each page and then alter the
new page with new information? Okay, the control copy and
control paste bit is easy, it's making all the photographs. Maybe
it's because my first love is photography, but not the quick and
digital version, the slow, hand processing, black and white beauty
of it all. The feeling that you get in seeing the image develop
before your eyes in a stuffy red lit room. The soft supple feeling
of the fiber paper in your hands as you sift your images from the
wash. *sigh* I digress. I guess I just have a problem with the snap
shot.

4-12-07

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Sakura-con! This was the
largest convention that we have ever done and we had a blast. We
did take a ton of photos and hopefully we can get them uploaded
soon. We are really going to focus our energy on completing the
custom hat page and uploading all the new spring items we
released at Sakura-con. We hope to have everything done before
our envelope art contest ends!

3-17-07

It's true, I don't blog as often as I would like. To be perfectly
honest we are having a tough time balancing home life, sewing
and website work. I do find that the website work gets the least of
my attention...mostly because I think it is more important to fill
orders then to blog. Not that blogging is bad or even very time
consuming when I really think about it. I think it comes down to
the generational gap between Generation X and what ever they
are calling the generation of people who have grown up with the
internet. As much as I hate to admit it, as it will give away my
age, I am a true Generation Xer. I have a very difficult time
divulging my personal thoughts and feelings on such a public
forum. While I did grow up with a computer in my home, only
because my parents were computer programmers, I was the only
kid I knew who had access to a computer. I guess the internet to
me is what television was to my parents. Of course television was
much more innocuous 30 years ago...yes I did just say 30 years
ago. I realize, while watching my daughter grow, that I need to
get a grip on the publicness of the internet. I am sure that she
will not be as guarded with herself on-line and that I need to be
prepared for her keeping a live journal. So, I guess this is my first
attempt at truly putting myself, and my family, "out there" in
cyber space. I am going to attempt to allow my core thoughts and
feeling out in this not so public forum. Maybe this will shed
some light on my life experience, in owing an internet business,
in being a new mother, in breaking down the barriers that may
exist between my children and myself if I do nothing.

2-10-07

Yippie! Our daughter has learned to crawl. It's amazing how
much crap an 11 month old can find on the ground after one has
vacuumed. Every piece of fur becomes a new toy that she likes to
stick in her mouth. Good thing I can't remember being an infant,
I think I would puke at the thought of all the stuff I must have
eaten that wasn't food.

1-15-07

Okay, so I became totally overwhelmed during the holidays with
orders and didn't have time to update the blog. Poop on me. So
belated Happy New Year! We are planning a ton of new hats,
costumes, jewelery and clothes. If you come to this site often you
will know that we have a difficult time getting things up on line,
but that doesn't mean that we don't have new product. Our latest
items will be for sale at Sakura-con in April. We will try and get
new photos up soon, but with a 10 month old sometimes sticking
to our schedule can be difficult.
